Photography by True Love Photo
Natalie and Bob met while both worked for River City Bank in 2004, but dating amongst staff was prohibited—they had to ask a supervisor’s permission for romance to begin. Just when things started to get serious, Natalie accepted a job at Sacramento Magazines Corporation (Our Wedding’s parent company) and the two were able to canoodle in public. (Natalie now serves as marketing director for Sacramento magazine and Bob works at River City Bank as a financial planner).
After a first date, the couple knew they’d found true love. After three years of dating, they were ready to make it official. Natalie and Bob were married Feb. 28, 2009 at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento, bathed in red light, surrounded by red panels of fabric draped elegantly from beams in the ceiling, with a host of red floral arrangements dotting the room. “My colors were red and red,” Natalie says.
The color scheme was hardly the only spectacular thing about the event. Eleven groomsmen, 10 bridesmaids, two adult flower girls, an appearance by a gospel choir immediately following the ceremony, a chocolate dessert bar, a photo booth for guests and heartfelt, hilarious personalized vows made the wedding as much entertainment as it was ceremony.
Natalie’s favorite vow: “I expect you to love me through thick and thin, and to appreciate that real women have curves.” Bob’s favorite moment: seeing Natalie in her dress. “She looked absolutely amazing,” he says.
The Paulsen-Daly wedding will air on Platinum Weddings on the We Channel later this year.
