Backyard weddings seem to be all the rage right now. But what if you live in a condo or simply don’t have access to a backyard that is more than a “backyard”? You find yourself coveting the beautiful yards featured in home and garden magazines and wishing you could win the lottery so that you could own one of those fabulous homes or you find yourself secretly wishing that you could be adopted by the homeowners featured in the magazines so that you could have your perfect wedding. (Surely your parents would understand!)
 
Well, I recently came across a website that can assist you with that dream backyard wedding without requiring that you win the lottery (though, let’s face it, we’ll take that, too) or making your mother cry. Where-I-Do.com provides brides and grooms with a list of “backyards” picture-perfect for weddings and receptions. The website lists properties in Sacramento, El Dorado Hills, Chico, Lodi, Elk Grove, Nevada City and more. (I put “backyards” in quotes because, well, look at the website and you’ll see these aren’t your typical backyards.) It lists photos of the yard/estate and tells you how many people it can hold and, sometimes, price or price range. The website also provides a list of wedding vendors located in Northern California.
