Brides Against Breast Cancer—a nationwide group that sells donated wedding gowns to raise money for breast cancer patients—is coming to the Sacramento region. The group will hold one of its famous sales Thursday, June 3, through Saturday, June 5, at Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club in Roseville. Hundreds of gowns worth as much as $8,000 will be sold from $99 to $800. The gowns, both new and used, are donated by designers, retailers, manufacturers and individuals. Admission is free, but if you want to beat the crowds, you can pay $20 and come early on June 3. Proceeds from the sale go to Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, which runs a wish-granting service for people with terminal breast cancer. To register for the sale, go to BridesAgainstBreastCancer.org.
