I visited Big Sur a few weeks back. Ladies, if you are searching for a spot for your engagement photos, Big Sur offers a wealth of photo ops. If you’re looking for a coastal honeymoon destination, this is your spot, too. And hey, if your intended blurted out a “will you marry me” in the parking lot of Costco (or some other, less-than-romantic location) and you’re looking for a “do over” so that you’ll have a good “how we got engaged” story to tell the kids, head to Big Sur. One particularly romantic restaurant with stunning views: Sierra Mar at Post Ranch Inn, which offers breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows and mini “patios,” which pretty much scream “I am here for a great photo op!” I am happy to report that Sierra Mar is not just a pretty face: The food is great, the service wonderful and the prices—at least for lunch—reasonable.
