Elizabeth and Josh Divelbiss
Elizabeth Divelbiss (above)
Married: Sept. 16, 2011, at Emmanuel Church in Coloma
Honeymoon: Italy
“My favorite part of the trip was the architectural tours that my husband, an architect, took me on. He had studied in Italy back in college, so he was my official tour guide for the trip. It was wonderful to see all the places he had seen and re-experience the country together.”
Lisa McGhee
Married: Oct. 15, 2010, at the County Clerk’s Office in Sacramento
Honeymoon: Isla Mujeres, Mexico
“We spent much of our time in rented golf carts exploring the beauty of the entire island and trying out different restaurants and bars. One day, we hopped over to Cancun and had breakfast. My husband also surprised me with a private snorkeling tour on the island that our favorite bartender, Ponce de Leon, at our resort tipped him off on. It was an experience I will never forget.”
Tepring Piquado
Married: June 16, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church in Sacramento
Honeymoon: California Coast and Wine Country
“Our favorite part of the trip was dreaming and planning for our future as a married couple, but our favorite activity was enjoying a nine-course dinner at French Laundry. We made a Shutterfly book entirely of that experience, starting from strolling outside in their garden and ending with meeting the chef in the kitchen.”
Madeline Sabatoni
Married: Aug. 4, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Sacramento
Honeymoon: Turtle Bay, Oahu
“Funny enough, we chose Oahu because we really wanted to go on a tour of the sites from the TV show ‘Lost.’ We went on a five-hour tour, and it was one of our favorite activities from the trip.”
Colleen Williams
Married: June 9, 2012, at Sun City Roseville in Roseville
Honeymoon: Paris, Barcelona, Cinque Terre (Monterosso), Rome, Venice, Sorrento, Capri, Positano
“There were so many great moments during our honeymoon where I was in disbelief of where we were and what we were doing, but one that really stands out is our hike between villages in Cinque Terre. We hiked two legs of the five villages, up hillsides overlooking the sea, through vineyards with gorgeous views of the town we were headed to and the town we had just left. At that moment, there was nowhere I would have rather been than doing that hike with my new husband and with the gorgeous views we had all around us.”
