Getting hitched in the foothills? Drawn to the tree-lined banks of the American River or have a fondness for Gold Country history? If headed east for your wedding, check out the Folsom Bridal Show, Sunday April 26 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Lake Natoma Inn.
Since 2003, the show has earned its reputation as one of the most fun local fairs. Free mini-mimosa when you enter? Yes, please! Games and prizes? Sounds like a good time!
“I believe that brides need to have fun planning their weddings. They can be so stressed making decisions and so we make our show as fun as possible with games, prizes, hands-on activities and much more,” says show coordinator, Roxanna Peace.
Participation vendors cover all things wedding related, from engagement party to sunset on the last day of your honeymoon.
“We have everything from ice-carvers to cigar rollers to gowns to tanning. We try to get someone in the show from every aspect of the wedding and reception,” says Peace.
This year, download the new smartphone app, which allows brides to contact vendors, record notes and share photos with family and friends.
Tickets are $10, but brides can register online to get a free ticket.
