Even if you’ve lived in Sacramento for most of your life, you might not be aware of just how many bridal shops are at your disposal in the greater Sacramento area. (I’m a native and I had no idea there were so many shops to choose from.)
You’re probably aware of House of Fashion on the corner of 21st and J streets, the sizeable storefront with the rotating window display that tempts even the least matrimonial-minded passersby to stop and gawk. I actually had a pact with my best friends growing up that when the first of us got married, we’d have a big try-on session at the iconic store—leave it to me to get engaged first but far, far away and have to shop for my gown out of state. (Sorry, girls!)
Other names in nuptial fashion include La Soie Bridal on Fair Oaks Boulevard, Miosa Couture at 11th and J streets, Sparkle Bridal Couture on Folsom Boulevard and Enchanted Bridal Shoppe on Sunrise Boulevard in Fair Oaks, to name (more than) a few. But for most of those who grew up in Sacramento, the biggest name in wedding wear has to be David’s Bridal, which opened a brand new location this month at 1892 Arden Way in Point West Plaza. As the largest American bridal store chain, David’s Bridal has enough inventory to outfit even the choosiest bride, her entire entourage and other participants who want to wear something special (y’know, like the groom).
The store is now open for business—which includes fittings by appointment, alterations, on-hand bridal experts and more darling dresses than you can imagine. Whether you’re a bride-to-be or just want a look-see, David’s Bridal is sure to put you in the wedding spirit. (And be sure to bring your besties!)
David’s Bridal is located at 1892 Arden Way at the Point West Plaza shopping center and 1140 Galleria Boulevard in Roseville at The Ridge at Creekside shopping center. For more information on the Sacramento store, call (916) 571-1080.
