They met in college and six years later tied the knot on her parents’ anniversary.
BARCELONA SAND—While traveling in Europe, Christian and Lauren decided to take a walk on a beach in Barcelona. Lauren complained because she didn’t want sand in her shoes, but then Christian dropped to one knee . . . and she forgot all about her crunchy toes.
34 YEARS TO THE DAY—They married on Lauren’s parents’ 34th wedding anniversary. “7/7 will always be a special day for us,” says Lauren, noting that 15 out of the 18 members of her parents’ bridal party were in attendance.
CLASSIC AND ELEGANT—Lauren had been attending events at The Sutter Club since she was young and loves the classic, elegant space. With colors of gold and champagne, and plenty of candles, the venue glowed with love and light. “We had a mix of long kings tables and rounds to give the room dimension,” says Lauren.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS—Christian and Lauren wrote their own vows. “It made it feel very special and our own,” she says. Their first dance song: “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett. One more thing the couple will always remember: the heartfelt speeches from their siblings.
