FIVE YEARS AGO—At a late summer wedding, Jorge was family friends with bride, Sonia family friends with the groom. Their eyes met. They danced. They went out the next night.
PICNIC IN NAPA VALLEY— At Chandon Winery on Valentine’s weekend in 2013, after getting lost on the way there, Jorge dropped to one knee and proposed. Happy tears, hugs and kisses were exchanged. “We couldn’t wait to tell the rest of our family the news,” says Sonia.
ARRIVING IN STYLE—Sonia and Jorge rode to their reception in a 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak named Pearl. A great memory: “Getting in the car all decked out in our bride-and-groomwear,” says Sonia, “stopping for a few photos and some champagne between the two of us. We loved it.”
ANY ADVICE?—“Incorporate a budget for a wedding planner,” Sonia says, adding that theirs “dotted our I’s and crossed our T’s to make sure everything was in tip-top shape.”
