Family and friends were the central theme for this El Dorado Hills couple’s big day.
BACK AT OAK RIDGE HIGH—Teri was class president, cheerleader and softball player, and Greg was a basketball player and prom prince. They moved to San Diego (separately), where they ran with the same friends. On Teri’s 21st birthday, Greg asked her to dance.
MISSING MOM—Teri and Greg moved back to the area when her mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015; she passed away before their moving van arrived. When Greg proposed to Teri a year later, he took her to a pumpkin patch in Apple Hill. It was Super Bowl Sunday, and the place was boarded up. Next door at Madrona Winery, Greg proposed. “My mom loved fall and she had pumpkins all over our house,” says Teri. “It meant the world to me that he included her.”
FAMILY AND FRIENDS—Greg and Teri included friends’ and family members’ special talents in their wedding day: a cousin’s ukulele-playing and a brother and sister-in-law’s custom-designed coloring book. The sleeve of Teri’s mom’s wedding gown wrapped the bouquet.
WHAT GREG SAYS: “Seeing Teri in her dress was breathtaking. Her smile was unforgettable.”
